Chicago is considered by many to be ground-zero in the fight for health equality and equity. IN the late 1960's, Dr. Martin Luther King and civil rights leaders planned direct action against Chicago hospitals that failed to give equal treatment to people of color. These efforts left a profound mark on the healthcare systems and their fight to improve health equity can be felt and experienced more than five decades later.
Wellness Home Behavioral Health Services aims to continue the fight for health equity by breaking down barriers that limit one's ability to access wellness services. We understand that the battle for health equality is not simply defined by racial disparity in traditional healthcare systems; rather, that it encompasses behavioral and mental health care for all who are unable to access it regardless of race, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Wellness Home Behavioral Services offers innovative behavioral treatments and programs that represent our philosophy of 'whole person' preventative care--to improve our quality of Mind, Body, and Soul.
